Whenever we buy Mackerel at home, we used to take half of
the fish for curry and half for fry. I used to marinate the fish with spice
powders and salt and keep it in fridge.
Here are the complete instructions with pictures to prepare
this tasty fish fry.
Ingredients
- Mackerel/Aiyla – 8 Medium sized
- Turmeric – ½ tablespoon
- Red chilli powder – 1 tablespoon
- Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper powder – ¾ tablespoon
- Oil - 2-3 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Clean the fish thoroughly and drain the water completely. Make slits on both the sides. Keep it aside.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder and salt to it
- Mix the fish with all the spice powders. Adjust salt according to your taste.
- Heat oil in a pan and add fishes into it. Fry each side for 3-4 minutes.
- Sprinkle little bit of lemon juice to it. Tasty, spicy Mackerel /Aiyal fry is ready to eat.
