One of the Kerala popular traditional curd based recipe. Can be prepared with less ingredients and very easy to make. It is also called manja moru/ kachiya moru.
Here I have given recipe of recipe with coconut. I have added coconut to thicken the curry. See below ingredients and step by step instructions with pictures.
Ingredients
- Butter milk - 1 cup
- Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
- Green chilli - 2 (slit lengthwise)
- Cumin seed - 1/4 tablespoon
- Red chilli powder - 1/4 tablespoon
- Fenugreek powder - a pinch
- Turmuric powder - 1/2 tablespoon
- Curry leaves - 1
- Salt to taste
For tampering
- Coconut oil - 2 tablespoon
- Mustard seed - 1/4 tablespoon
- Dried red chilli - 1
- Add grated coconut, cumin seeds, green chillies and turmeric powder into a jar and blend it to a fine paste with little bit of water.
- Mix this paste in the butter milk. Add curry leaves to this.
