Gajar halva or carrot halva is a dessert pudding made with grated carrots and dry fruits. This dish is mostly prepared during festive seasons. Ingredients
- Carrots - ½ kg
- Ghee - 4-5 tablespoon
- Milk - 1 cup
- Green cardamom powder - ½ tablespoon
- Condensed milk - ½ tin
- Cashews - 10 -11
- Almonds - 12
Instruction
- Clean and grate carrot and keep it aside
- Heat oil in a bottom thick pan. Add ghee and grated carrots into it and mix well and cook on medium flame so that ghee get coated on grated carrot. Stir continuously for 6-7 minutes
- Add milk and condensed milk into the pan and cook. Keep stringing the mixture continuously. When milk gets evaporated completely, add cardamom powder to it and combine well. Stir on low flame for 3-4 minutes.
- Toss cashews and almonds to the halwa. Serve hot/ chilled.
