Beans stir fry


I have shared traditional beans thoran recipe in an earlier post. Here is yet another recipe with beans. This dish is prepared by shallow frying beans and onions and then coat it with generous amount of grated coconut. It is very easy to make and tasty side dish.  Beans stir fry tastes good with hot rice and pulissery.

Ingredients 
  1. Beans - 250 grams
  2. Onions - 2 medium sized
  3. Green chilli - 5-6
  4. Grated coconut -  1 cup
  5. Oil - 2-3 tablespoon
  6. Turmeric powder - 1 tablespoon
  7. Water - ¼ cup
  8. Salt to taste

Instruction
  • Clean and chop beans into small inches of pieces. Add this chopped beans, lengthwise sliced green chillies, turmeric and salt into a vessel. Add ¼ cup of water and cover the lid to allow beans to cook.


  • Add oil to the cooked beans. Stir for 2-3 minutes and then add onions slices into it. Combine well and stir occasionally. 

  • Once onions are translucent, add grated coconut into the pan
  • Combine all the items well. Tasty, spicy beans stir fry is ready. Serve hot with rice. Enjoy!!😊
